About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are told that the story is fictional and that there is no intention to make any reference to real people, places, or real entities. The narrator tells us that the reason why he did not tell Avit is because he does not want to be touched by his divine blood. Avit asks the narrator to give him the medicine, but the narrator says that he can do it himself. He tells Avit that he was disappointed when little Zhan said that he wasn't god, but that being a lover is better. He says that little zhan had never regarded him as a superior god but his equal, and that he is not trying to affect their relationship. He asks the lord god if he wants to befriend Zhan qi, and Avit tells him that she is finally awake. He doesn't know how hard he's worked during the whole time, and wonders why he is being treated differently than he would have been treated when he was younger. He also says that Avit had asked him why he wanted to befriend him, and he says that she has an ulterior motive and that she wants to do so because she is the only child that he loves. She says that when she is agitated, her divine blood will devour her from the inside
