About This Chapter
The scene opens with a flashback to the night of the wedding. Avit is in the temple of glory, coughing and sneezing. He is clearly in love with the man who has come to perform his priestly duties. He wonders why the man is so important to the god of desire, and wonders if he has been so cruel to him. Eliton, a mercenary king, enters the temple and presents a statuette to the priest. The priest, avit, is injured by the man's touch, and he asks the priest not to touch his wounds. He tells the priest that the only person who can hurt him in this world is the demon-god of desire. He says that he himself has been raised by him, and that he has something important for him to do. He then tells avit that he will not reveal his ugly sides in front of her. He asks her to relax a little, but she says that it seems that she has adjusted to life so quickly that she no longer needs to be in pain. She then says that she wants more, and she asks him to hurry up and treat her ruthlessly.
