About This Chapter
In this short scene, we learn that Elmire is the father of Selia, and that he is responsible for the murder of her. Elmire's brother, Damis, is also present at the scene, and he is shocked to learn that his father has been murdered. He is also horrified to find out that his brother has been involved in the crime. He also realizes that the crime was part of the royal family's plan to keep Elmire in the dark about her father's whereabouts. He realizes that he has absorbed a great deal of energy from the barrier energy of the otherworld, which makes him even more vulnerable to the evil of Elmire and her family. He asks the human girl to choose between her brother and the two criminals, and she chooses to save her father. He tells her that she is the key to the unity of the two worlds.
