About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he's just sent huan to the fifth floor of the dormitory building where the vice principal, the vice president, and ximen's uncle live. The vice principal is li feng, the principal's brother, and the uncle's nephew, huan. He's got a message for huan: "What a nice trick You've played" . He tells huan that his nephew is in a class directed by a famous professor named li feng. The professor is a master of the art of acupuncture, which is basically a Chinese version of medicine. Ooh, uncle, that's a big deal. Aww, uncle. He doesn't even care who the monster is. He wants to know if the professor can compare his own skill with the professor's. He says that the professor has copied his northern butterfly skill, but that he has room for improvement. He asks the professor if he can show him the northern butterfly technique if he wants to, but the professor won't show him. The narrator says that he is copying the skill, and that he still has a long way to go. He also says that his name is Xing Aofei, and he wants the professor to show him how to use the technique on his head. He feels a "flow of power" , and wants to show the professor how to do it on his own head. But the professor isn't interested in showing him the technique, so he tells the narrator that letting him be a student is "a loss to traditional Chinese medicine study."
