About This Chapter
"Toit hey, hey, say what is this" , says Black-Eyed Rock. He's about to stab him to death, but he's got a plan: he'll kill everyone who stops him from killing himself. He wants to know why he has to listen to his voice, and he wants to be able to leave the place alive. He doesn't want to be a child, he says, because there's nothing to help him recharge. Black-eyed Rock tells him that everyone thought he couldn't finish his mission, and that he and White-Wood were going to betray them together. But now that they've cleared their names, he thinks they're going to run away together. He also tells her that he admires her, because he thinks she's a good person. He tells her about the fight, and says it looks like it was a fake, because White- Wood didn't say anything to her about it. He says that he'd be lying if he said it wasn't a real battle, because it was. He adds that he thinks it's going to be easy for everyone to forget about the whole thing, since they'll all be gone for a while. He asks her if she wants to say anything, and she says she'll tell the boss about it, too.
