The narrator tells us that he'll never know where he's going to meet his "fated person" . He's got a three-day deadline to get his aunt back, and he doesn't have a lot of money. He wants to go and find his lover, but he'd better get the heck out of the way before he does. He says he came to look for his "first kiss" , and if his aunt still won't let him leave, he will call the cops on her. He also says that if she still refuses to let him go, he can call the police on her, too. He tells her that she can do whatever she pleases even if she has money, and that she's brought herself to her own ruin. She tells him to knock on the door, and who is it? It's the baby, and it's her voice. The narrator says that he and the baby have been together for five years, and they've only 1,000 dollars left in their savings account. He asks her to give him the money back, but she refuses, saying that if he wasn't good-looking in the beginning, she'd have gotten together with him instead. She says she'll break her legs if he startsle her son, and she begs him to come back.
