The next morning, Lin tells Zhuang that he wants to see the stars. He asks Zhuang to promise him one thing: that he will never leave him, even if he becomes a falling star. He says that even though he is the guardian of the soul tool, he is not as good as Lin as he is at protecting the treasure. Lin says that he is sure that he and Zhuang are destined to fall from the sky, and that they must leave their "brightest trace" of past history behind. He promises to stay by his side forever. He wants to marry Lin, he says, but he doesn't think that Lin is his younger brother.
