About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a cat's meow. It's mealtime. The cat is upset that the mage is eating so much food. He tells the others that they're becoming spoiled, and that they should stop asking for things like vinegar and garlic. He also tells them that another message has arrived from over there asking when they can get more supplies. He says that they sent a large amount of food, but that there are too many people in the kingdom who are suffering from famine. He asks if they can sell him to raise more food for the famine victims. They're making progress, he tells them, and they'll treat him well. He then tells the cat that they have also helped him out by giving him money, but he's still not satisfied with the amount of money they've given him. He suggests that they go find some money first and buy food for those who need it, so they can show off their efforts.
