About This Chapter
The scene opens with a conversation between the father and son. The father tells his son that the company will soon be acquired by the company of his son-in-law, and that the name will be changed. The son asks the father why he hasn't said anything to him, and the father tells him that he's been waiting a long time for his son to come and explain what's going on. He says that he has been studying the company's business plan and wants to know if the company is going to be a subsidiary of the company or not. He asks if the dividend will be reinvested in the company, and if so, what will the name be. He also asks if he can keep the name, which is no big deal since the company doesn't need to be listed on a stock exchange. He tells the father that he is also the owner of Luurp, and he has the right to make the company better. He adds that the father's cold attitude makes the company seem like a "stranger." The father says that his son is trying to protect the company. He reminds the son that they are family and that he shouldn't worry about who owns the company since they will be handed it over to him. He then tells the son to be nice to his mother, because she's always been kind to him and he won't ever do the same to her again. When the father asks if they're still stalking the car, the son says that they aren't, because they can't get through the pedestrian street. The dad says that the man who's reading the comics didn't give them a clue who the flowers were from, and so the father wanted his daughter to forgive him, so he prepared a bigger surprise for her. He's the major rival of the father.
