The narrator is ecstatic at the sight of the new brothel, but he's worried that he won't be able to keep up with the demands of madam hua. He's afraid that he'll disappoint her, and that she'll be disappointed in him as well. The narrator tries to calm down the girl, but she's not having it. She's so upset that she starts yelling at the brothel's highness to calm her down. The highness tells the girls to help him get back to his private room, and the narrator curses the whole thing. Luckily, the girls managed to fool the highness so that he wouldn't recognize her.
