The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Renji explains that he and the others are in the middle of a battle. He tells Renji that they are surrounded by a group of people, including a priest and a woman, who are trying to enter the club. Renji asks the priest to help him get into the back door of the club, but the priest refuses to come out of his hiding place. He says that he should go to the front door first, where he can gather his power and break the illusion.
