The next morning, the voice of the night-souls' leader, mar, enters. He is the successor to the dance troupe that performed for the Ming family in Mings' holy city. He tells the man that he is a member of the Night-Souls' organization, and that he has been hiding there for years. He explains that years ago, the Mings sent Xianren Banban to manage the area, but that he was unable to pacify the area because of foreign aggression. The fallen angels of Mings are strong, and he cannot have no strength, so he has chosen the right time to kill him. He also explains that the two factions within the clan are not aware of each other's existence. The first faction is led by the patriarch, and the second by the female voice. The voice asks the man why he is upset. The man says that he does not want to kill the other factions, because they are pitiful and detestable.
