The next morning, Ming and the others are still in the ring, and Ming says that he's ready to kill Ming. He's not going to let Ming get away with it. Ming is the heir to the throne of night souls, and he wants Ming to pay for insulting him. Ming says he knows Ming's plan to attack other shore cities with the tide of night, but he'll do it now that Ming is being honest with him. He also says that Ming should fold his hands for capture, since he can't kill Ming even if he wanted to. Ming and Ming are both worried, but Ming doesn't seem worried at all. He says that they haven't left the ring yet, and that they're caught up in a strange "space magic" .
