The next morning, Dr. Manette wakes up in the middle of nowhere. He's not sure whether he's alive or dead. He doesn't know if he'll ever see his son again. He can't figure out what's wrong with him, either. He has no idea how he came to be, or why he came in the first place. He wants to know what the heck's going on. He wonders if the red power object is really healing him. It's his first time seeing a power object that has its own consciousness. He also wonders if he can use his own power to heal someone else. The guy's still bleeding from the bullet wound he got in the head, but he'd rather die than continue to use his healing power. He tells the guy to hold on to his healing powers. He says that if he continues to use them, he will die. But if he keeps using them, they'll all be gone. He figures out that there are still many treasures on the body of the sacred level magical beasts. The manticore, for example, has a bone in it that's supposed to help it jump its stage. This is the same bone that fooled the other magical beast into jumping higher than it was supposed to jump. He grabs the bone and growls at
