The scene opens with a conversation between the Governess and her Governess's son. The Governess tells her son that he can take his father's confidence back if he wants. He tells her that he has to show his father what he can do in front of him. She tells him to go to the house of the director of the upcoming film. He has agreed to let him be the lead in the film. The young Governess asks him if he has seen his acting abilities so close to his own. He says he has, and she tells him that they have come back the previous night too late. She asks him to get close to them, and he tells her to obey her. She says she can feel his bones "almost falling apart" . He goes on to say that he is going to meet the director, and that he will be the star of the film if the director does not mention it to him. He feels that he deserves the role, because he is so good at acting. He asks if he can help him get the role in the movie, and says he is sorry that he did not consider his feelings on the matter.
