In this short scene, jie-mu tries to convince Xinglai-jian not to let his brother break into his house. He says that his brother is a member of the mu corporation and has been raised well. He also says that he has never met his brother, and that maybe he would not stay at his house for long. Ignoring his brother's protests, he says that there is no reason for him to help his brother because he is so pitiful already. . He tells his wife that he was too rash to leave the house and that he will not hold her responsible for the ruckus. He asks if his wife noticed that her eyes never left her house, and she replies that she did not. He then tells her that his family business does not have anything to do with her, and asks her to get out of his car and go to the hospital with him. She says that she is not a lover and that she does not need a girl to be her temporary lover. He goes on to say that he is not good enough to be a girl's lover, and he takes back what he said.
