About This Chapter
The next morning, the young couple is in the middle of planning their wedding, and the father-in-law asks his wife when she will come visit them. He informs her that his younger sister will soon be moving to Shanghai, and that she should be on the lookout for her. He also tells her that he has a younger sister, who is a vet who loves animals, and who has a tendency to break up with boyfriends because she has too many pets. He tells his wife that her younger brother is not as bad as his older brother, and he is surprised to learn that he is not working for the company in the states, but for the jian company in Shanghai. He is also surprised that his brothers are planning to return to the city, as they have learned how to live as adults. He asks if his brothers think that they can leave anytime they want, and his wife tells him that if he keeps trying to hide his true feelings, he will become an accomplice in the company's turf. He then asks her to take him out to play the weekend, and she promises that she will do so. The young man, however, does not want to go out with the brat because he wants to stay home and look after the house. He wants to go to the movies with his wife, but his wife refuses to let him go. She tells him not to come crying to her, as he is the one who is scared. She reminds him that his brother and wife are men of the family, and they should be the ones who are comforted by others. He feels that he cannot handle the two of them.
