In this short scene, Little Em'ly tells her father that her house is about to flood because of a heavy rain. She begs him to let her stay outside with her while he goes outside to fix the leak, but he refuses, saying that the woman who fell through the roof was too weak to withstand the storm. He tells her to use her magic to keep the rain from coming in, but she refuses to do so. He asks her to come inside and take a bath, and he tells her that he needs to go back outside and fix the leaking roof. When she asks where her mommy is, he says that he doesn't have time to raise her alone, and that she should come home and take the bath.
