In this short scene, we learn that Nyx's childhood sweetheart, Karmel, is not his mother, but his father, the famous impostor in the moon. Nyx and Karmel used to be friends, and they used to make apple pies together. After Karmel's father died, the war broke out between the hermit villages on the moon and the human city on the mainland. The human city was destroyed first, and Nyx was shocked to find out that his mother was killed that very day. He feels that Karmel has told him the truth about his mother's death, and that he can do nothing to help her.
