About This Chapter
In the train station at Shimokitacho, the former detective is happy to see his old friend. He has been fired from his job, his wife has left him, and a student spread his personal the day he attacked him was the "start of a nightmare" . He tells his friend that he never wants to see him again because he is the same as him. He says that if he were to do that, he would have tossed his wife aside. The former detective says that he feels like someone else has said something similar to him before, and that he is sure that the devils are pathetic. He adds that it is okay if you only transform a man and make him bleed. When he punched the professor back then, he didn't drink his blood, but when he became a "lusting for devil" , he knew that living together would be possible. He bets that the police will handle the situation the same way they handled the Hiroshi case.
