About This Chapter
"Big slacker me baby yes" is the first line of the chapter. It's the first time we've heard the word "slacker" before, so we're not sure what to make of it. The narrator tells us that he's a slacker because he doesn't do his homework. He's also a big fan of basketball, which is one of the subjects in which the narrator is excelling. He asks the teacher if she's seen arin, and the teacher tells him that she hasn't been to school yet. The teacher asks the narrator to deliver a message to alvan, but the narrator says he'll have to go home first. She's worried that arin is avoiding her at school, and that she has to take remedial classes to get her grades back up. She tells the teacher to deliver the message to him, but he says he can't, because he has homework to do. The girl says she'll be home first, and then she can tell the teacher what's going on. She wants to thank alvan for his help in getting her good grades, but she says she was just "going to your place" to see him, and he wants to talk to her. She says she came to realize that she was being stalked, and she begs him to help her.
