The cave is wet and slippery, and the frog croaks. It nearly gives him a heart attack, but he hides in the cave as best he can. He sees a fist-sized hole in the wall, which he thinks is the entrance to the cave. He imagines that if he were an ordinary man, this hole would stop him from being lost in the jungle. He steps back to get back up to the top of the mountain.
