In this chapter, we learn that the two families are in a "relationship" , and that the parents are not prepared to deal with it. The parents are furious at the idea of their son and daughter-in-law getting engaged, and they demand to know why their grandson is getting involved with a woman he does not approve of. When the parents try to calm down, they realize that they have no choice but to let the situation play out. They decide that they will not allow their grandson to get involved with another woman, even if it means that he will have to leave the house. They also decide that their son will not be allowed to marry a man who does not belong to their family. The two families decide that it is time for them to get back to their normal routines.
