About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Lily is working on a movie and that her father is planning to return home to see if she is right. Lily tells us that she is determined to pursue her artistic dreams and that she has been living her life according to her father's wishes. She tells Lily that she wants to be a "rebel for once" and asks Lily if she would like to be her partner in the making of a movie. Lily replies that she does not want to repeat the life of her father. She says that she was born for the business of the family, not the artistic life. Lily says that even though her father has failed in his artistic ambitions, he has been invited to perform in any of his productions. Lily asks if she can send her parents a gift of rou for Lily to take to her parents' house in order to show them how much she loves them.
