As the chapter opens, the narrator tells us that he is in a state of "chaos" . He feels pain in his head as if he is about to "fracture" , but he doesn't waste a second thinking about other things. He asks Zhang Yang how he answers the question of "what's the matter with the girl?" He says that although she is "a bit troublesome," everything is "the same as before." He tells Zhang that he's going to the "final." Zhang asks why he didn't "collect evidence against them" the night before. The narrator tells him that he turned on the surveillance video and that he was the one who started the fight. Zhang says that he just wanted to "have a good fight," and that it's nothing of his business. He tells the narrator that he has broken the previous "existence" and named him his "ligdong." He says he'll meet his sister, and that she's even shorter than his brother. He says his brother would put him on his shoulders in the past, and she wants to "ride on my shoulders." He asks if Zhang can bear the responsibility of letting his brother starve, and he says that Zhang is an "amazing adult." He then asks if he and his sister should get married, and Zhang tells him to stop swearing in front of the baby. He promises to take the baby to live in his house for a short while, and then he and her mother will get married.
