About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to the day after entering into a contract with Fenrir. This is the day that the wolf is supposed to blend in with humans. He is worried that if he does not go to school, he will never be friends with anyone again. He wonders if there is a way for him to "blend in with human beings" . He tells his mother that he would rather skip school than go through with the "divine spell" of wearing the wolf's uniform. He then tells her that he will give her extra allowance in return for the care he takes for the wolf. When the mother asks how long he has been planning to do this, he says that he was planning to join the school's basketball club. She tells him that it is difficult to join because the school participates in the "Olympics," a competition for high school students to participate in international sports. When he asks if he can introduce her to his new club member, he is told that he is accepted.
