This chapter opens with a description of the monster, who is described as a "strange kid" who likes to devour herbs. He also likes to break people's tendons with a "casual fling" . After this incident, the monster becomes arrogant and plunders herbs from all over the place. The monster is still alive, however, and the people of the city begin to hate him because he is a "demonic cultivator." The monster becomes invincible and destroys all of the cities in the empire.
