In this chapter, we learn that the alchemist is refining an elixir for each of his students. He tells them that they can only take so many of the elixirs at a time and that he will kill them if they take too many. He explains that the elixir he is refining is called "icey cold enhancing elixir" and that it is made from the "yin - yang flame" with his unique technique. It appears cold, but inside, it is very hot. He gives each student an equal number of elixirs and tells them to choose one from each.
