In this chapter, Ming-Ling's grandfather tells his grandson that Guiqi's victory over his grandson and son-in-law was a great success, but that there's still a "huge gap" between the two families. He asks his grandson to let Guiqi and the others go because they're his "friends." Ming says he'll cut his throat if he lets them go, but he's sorry he can't save his family by handing them out to the enemy. Ming asks his grandfather to open his eyes and see what kind of martial skill Guiqi is using. If he doesn't believe him, Ming says, he can just give the kid a try. He's sure that sword mansion will wipe out Ming's family.
