The next morning, Phaedra wakes up in the middle of the night. She's not sure what's going on, but she's pretty sure it's all a trap. She doesn't want to wake up the next morning with a headache, so she goes to her room and sits down to write a letter to Mr. Bledsoe. When she gets to the letter, she realizes that the letter is addressed to her husband, who's supposed to deliver it to her in a few days. The letter is for her husband to deliver to the next person who comes to pick her up from the train station. The next thing she knows, the letter arrives. It's her husband's, and he's been waiting for her for a long time. He's a little worried about her, she says, but he'll take care of it.
