In this chapter, Ryong-Ryu explains that he is trying to find Gwiho, who was banished from heaven because he loved human flesh as a god. In the hell, he took revenge on humans who lived in the wrong lives, but he was tricked by an evil spirit and began eating human flesh. The god who learns to taste human flesh becomes a bad spirit and wanders around in search of more human flesh, causing a war. The gods decide to kill him, but the evil spirit notices that the gods have decided to kill Gwihos, so he runs away from the human world. The scent of the demon spirit comes from him, and he feels that he has lost his mind. He says that if he loses his mind and becomes a demon, he may be killed. He asks if he can see the dead body of his sister by the stream. He has volunteered himself to look for her, but has been unable to find her body. If something were to happen to his parents, he says, he would try to raise his sister better than any other person. He is drunk, and when he sees his sister with a pretty girl, he asks why she came to see him. He also asks why he did not save him.
