About This Chapter
In this chapter, the Governess explains how she came to be in the position she is in. She explains that she is unemployed, and that she has lost everything she had caring for her late father. The Governess and her friend are drunk, and she suggests that they go to her house to discuss the situation more. The military police, however, refuse to let the two of them in, so they have to wait outside the building for the police to come in. The only place where there is no surveillance is in the courtyard of the building, and the only way to see what is going on inside is to look out the window. He wants to see her naked again, so he puts on a mask for further questioning. He asks if the guards are all right, and they say they are, but he wonders if they are in danger. He tells her to have faith in the plan, and to not try to leave the building.
