The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter. In this flashback, we learn that Hirokazu and Kiyoshi are both members of the same club, and that Kiyoshi is the leader of the club. The two of them have decided to cast aside their mutual loyalty and join forces to form a new club, the Shugi Club. As they are about to cast off their former club mates, Hiroki asks Kiyoshi if he has any loyalty to Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi replies that he has no loyalty to anyone, and Hiroki responds that he does not have any. Hiroki tells Kiyoshi that he will cast off Kiyoshi, and the two men begin to plan their new club.
