About This Chapter
The chapter opens with the narrator complaining about how long it's been since the chapter was last written. He's worried that the chapter has been written too long and that the map has been placed in the wrong place. The narrator tells us that he's a member of the student council at the school where the chapter is set. He tells the group that one day, someone heard the rumble of the school's old clubroom. Apparently, there used to be a "culture" clubroom on the third floor, but now that the school has changed, the clubroom has become known as "the but even now, forbidden room" . The students decide to check out the room to see if the ghost is real. They don't want to get caught, though, because they're afraid that the ghost will show up in the middle of the night when the other clubs are locked up. They're worried that they'll be able to get into the room if they go under the door and close the doors. They also worry that the ghosts might show up during the night, when the school is dark. They wonder if they've been using the room as a place to plan their evil schemes. They think that the guys are using it as a way to get away with the fact that the captain isn't there to attend the meeting.
