It's the second day of high school, and the narrator has a dream about going to the school cafeteria to eat lunch with his friend Usui. Usui tells the narrator that he's been walking around the school all day, and he can't stand the sight of his friend eating lunch with another girl. The narrator asks Usui if he can sit with the girl, and Usui says he can, but he'll have to wait for the girl to finish her lunch. The girl is apparently a transfer student from another school, so Usui has to tutor her. The two of them eat lunch together, but Usui doesn't want to eat with them, because he thinks they'll all get fat. He tells Usui that he came to deliver a piece of paper to the girl that he found on the ground, and that she'll probably walk home alone. But Usui won't let him have it, because the girl looks friendly to him. He's worried that Usui is going to get fat, so he tells him to go home already, because this is the last time he can talk to her.
