Ming goes back to eating with her friend shanshan, who is also there. Ming asks her why she hasn't always defended him, and she says that she just respects him and wants to be near him. She asks if he said that if she let him torture her, he'd give her no trouble in the future. Ming says she doesn't think she needs permission from him to keep her, but then she asks him if he did it, and he says that he didn't want to torture her for no reason. Ming wonders if she'd run before he beat her up, and asks if she thinks she is an idiot. Ming then asks the butler of the villa if he ever treated her with such respect before, and the butler says he'll take her to Mr. Liu.
