The scene opens with a description of Mingke's and Chinglu's relationship. Mingke asks Chinglu where he is from. Chinglu replies that he is a college student. Mingle asks where Chinglu is from, and Mingle replies that Chinglu looks too young for his granddaughter. Minglu asks Mingke why he is coming back with him, and he says that he wants to introduce his granddaughter to Chinglu. Mingli asks Mingle why Chinglu seems to be holding another woman, and the old man replies that Mingle is acting too possessive of him. He says that Mingke owes him money for the preview of his new song, which Mingle did not perform at the bar. He threatens to make Mingle sing in front of the public if Chinglu does not pay Mingle's bill. The scene ends with Mingle asking Chinglu what will happen when Chinglu meets Mingke again.
