Mr. Mingke tries to get Mr. Long to come back to the hotel, but he refuses, saying that he is afraid of what his father will think of him. He also says that Mingke is no match for Madame dai, and that Madame feifan would defend him if she saw him again. He says that he has no experience in oriental entertainment and that he will contact him when he is free. He tells Mingke that he can start preparing for the movie at once if he can find work as a screenwriter. He asks Mingke if he would like some porridge, and Mingke says he has prepared it for hours. He thinks that the food is better than that provided in the hospital, and wonders why Mingke would want to take credit for it. He then says that the men who tried to hurt him that night did not do anything to him.
