About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a soliloquy by the princess, in which she tells the reader that she has mixed feelings about the events of the previous day. She says that she did not want to know what was going on because it was the last thing she wanted to do in her life. She then tells the story of how she found her brother, who had come to the city as a rooster to "bring hope to everyone" . She asks him why he came to live in the city, and he tells her that he came because he wanted to be a rooster. She tells him that he should not be afraid of him because he is the "rule guardian" of the city. He asks her why she didn't get punished by lightning when she first came down here, and she replies that she was punished by the "lightning" when she arrived. He then asks her if she and her brother are leaving the city next month. She replies that they are planning to move to a new city without the "spiritual power" that she brings with her. The princess tells the madam that she will bring food for her every time she visits, and the two of them will meet again. She also says that the princess will continue to cause trouble for everyone in the new city. The madam tells the princess that she should not mention the princess because she is a torturer, and that no one dies from her tortures. She adds that she is sorry, but it is her brother who should protect her. He says that he will dress his little sister when she gets married and hold the "most unforgettable wedding" in the future. He tells the girl that getting married means getting married. He also tells her about the apricot, which he says can be picked from the trees
