In this chapter, we learn that the white tiger took his sister to the "god forsaken mortal realm" on purpose. When the little girl woke up, she was hungry and thirsty. The white tiger tells her that the only reason she didn't eat was because she was breaking her rule. She's just like a "thing that was created by someone" , he says. He tells her to stop following him, and if she does, she's going to get sentenced to death. He says he's the guardian of gods, and he has the power to "kill gods at will" . If he were a "bad guy," he says, why wouldn't he stay with him for ten years? He says that being with him makes him happy, and that he responds to the girl's "pure heart" by responding to the rhythm of the god's beat. He's happy to be with his brother, and says that if he had known earlier, he would have told him earlier. But he can't hide his murderous intent when he opened the egg. He also says that the girl is 300 years old, which means that the two of them were the same age at the beginning of the story. He asks if the girl was falling asleep after eating the egg, and she says that she was afraid at first, but later on, she thought that they wouldnt have to deal with the pain.
