In this chapter, the bird tells the prince of Hu yun that he has the power to save him. He tells him that if he waits long enough, he will be reborn. He also tells him about his feelings for the prince. He says that he was always letting the prince down, but now that the prince is in danger, he feels that he must tell him. The bird says that the image of the little girl is a part of his consciousness that he left behind when he helped her awaken. He thinks that if someone were to steal his power, perhaps his last consciousness would protect the girl from death. He asks the prince not to cry, but to live a happy life.
