Madame de Pomfret thinks that this is a big mistake, and that she has made a mistake by trying so hard to be strong and to get recognition from people. She wonders if she would do something stupid, and she wonders why she is still trying to do so hard when she can't even leave her alone. The gray area is in chaos, and it's unsafe for someone to be there by herself. It's on her to find her, and he's sure that someone has spoken with her. He tells her not to go in, and tells her that the master sent him to protect her in secret, and this is his job to do. He asks her to throw away her, but she refuses, saying that she needs to go back to tell the master right away. She tells him that she lost her because of him, and then she tells him to send the police in to search for her. She asks him to tell her what happened to her love, and what he should do.
