In this chapter, the Governess and the vampire discuss the recent events. The Governess tells the vampire that she has gradually accepted her current life. She tells him that she is leaving the village tomorrow with her brother. The two of them have become friends, and the two have a deal: the vampires agree not to attack humans again.
