The chapter opens with a flashback to the past, when frey was a favorite blood servant of roy. The flashback shows that xin noticed the expression on the boy's face when he kissed roy, and the boy realizes that he does not want to know about frey's past anymore. He tells xin that he has come back to the Senate after finishing work there, and he asks the boy to praise him. The boy says that he will forgive him for once, but the first time he ever smiled at him was when roy kissed him. He says that if the boy takes the initiative, he may think about making up for all the missing kisses. He asks if he can show the boy what a kiss is, and xin says that it is "some food and money" . He gives the boy the money, but says that the boy does not know what he is getting for it
