About This Chapter
As soon as he hears the sound of the wind, izanagi says he's going to take the white Miko back. When he sees that the black Miko is inside the scroll, he runs out to catch the white one. He's so excited that he doesn't even notice that his hair is covered with the black one's hair. . The wind growls at him, and he says he can't rest until he gets better. He promises to follow him as quickly as he can. He says that even though he is on his last leg, his only regret is that he didn't get to use his power sooner. He also says that his power will continue on for the rest of his life. The narrator tells us that the fifth Miko, Beniko, has stopped traveling. She has built her house at a place where the Miko for himself lives. Miko powers belong to everyone in the family, and since the family has grown, the roles have been divided between the Toushu, who manages the house, and a Miko who performs the ceremony, "a miko who does not have her own will. " The narrator says that he was like that, too, and that the people are just "shaking shake" when they hear that a miko isn't strong enough to perform the ceremony herself. He apologizes for pulling him out like this, and says that as soon as the date of the ceremony was getting closer, he was getting more and more anxious, thinking that he might get in their way. He pulls out all of his hair and says, "You're stupid like your mother."
