About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the Kamasutra tells us that sama is in pain, and that he wishes he had chosen a different ninigi to help him. He tells the men that he is going to catch a few mikos for sama and that they should pay him so that he can go and help sama. He also tells them that he's practicing his kagura dance and that it's beginning to look good. He says that he wants to increase his powers and protect others, but that his heart is with him. If all of them are like that, that Miko you know, won't become strong, he says. If she's always protected, she'll never grow what she can become. He asks if he can bring out a Miko without the use of sano and lino, and he says he can, but he can't because he has to bring out the Mikos without them. He wonders if he should use animals to send a message to sama, since animals are like birds and foxes. He thinks about how kamigami is used to send messages to other kami, and wonders if this is the time to use animals.
