This chapter is all about the "selfish b-stards" who "only become sane" once they die. The narrator says that the kid who was holding the map earlier was the one who held onto it. He says that if the kid ends up alone, he'll starve to death. He wonders why the kid isn't bleeding, and wonders if he's a robot. He almost thought he was an android, but now he realizes that he was just pretending to be a human.
