About This Chapter
The next morning, Jack asks if he can prepare a grave for him. Jack says he doesn't want to leave the company with a bad review, so he won't worry about it. He tells Jack that cockroaches are the ones who get chased away from their hiding places because they're too full. Jack tells him that he and Jack are "ridiculously dirty" and that they'll be fine the next day. He suggests that they eat right away, but Jack points out that it's already cold and he'll have to heat it up before he can eat. Jack suggests that he play chess, but he loses. He wants to be his guardian, he says, and if Jack does anything suspicious, he will shoot him. He asks Jack if he'd like to play mahjong with him for a month, and Jack says yes. He'll leave after that, but if Jack finds out that he's not going to live with him, he can have all of his inheritance.
