In this short scene, King bael reveals his financial problems to his son-in-law, and the two men discuss how they managed to get the documents. The king says that he had an "inside person" who was responsible for the documents, but bael does not want to explain why he did not allow his daughter to work for him at the castle. The two men hug each other, and bael says that they will destroy "Lucifer" if she is found. He tells his son that if he is lost, he has to find him wherever he is. He says that if his son is not next to him, it is like he is in hell. He also says that in his religion, God loves humans and sacrifices himself to cleanse humans of their sins, which is the "greatest act of love" . He adds that they originally thought they would exchange helena for lucifer, but now that jieun has come back safely, there is no need for him. He then says that the only law that a woman can become a "wife of a devil" is that she can only become a queen. Now, he says, he will make her what she wants to be, and she will be the king. He explains that bael's plan is for a revolution to take place and helena to be made the new king. If the revolution takes place, the deposed king and his wife and child will also be killed. But, bael would choose the "better option" , which would be to let them live. They would then be expelled from the human world.
