The narrator introduces us to Yeojieun, the personal secretary to the president of a local newspaper. He tells us that he's been unemployed for three years and that his resume was initially rejected by the newspaper. The narrator asks him why he quit his job when he could've been employed for five years instead. The man says that he would have had five years experience by now, instead of three years. He says that his mother must have been filial in her past, because his daughter sits in her room and he has to pick her out of the crowd. He also says that if he gets a job with the newspaper, he'll never look after a child again.
